NFWI October Week of Action

Following from the success of the Valentine’s Day Green Hearts campaign, the NFWI is planning a week of action from 10th-16th October 2016 to celebrate the people, places and things we want to protect from climate change.During this week, people all over the UK will be lobbying their MPs in their local area, and they’d love everyone to be involved. They are looking for people to organise a nature walk, tea party, lobby meeting or even a community energy visit to show MPs why you would like them to take action to protect your community from the impacts of climate change. All this will involve MPs so that politicians see, feel and hear how much their constituents care about what we could lose to climate change.

The Public Affairs team will be sending out more information in the summer and in the run up to October. Please do contact the team if you want more information or have any questions before then:

The NFWI are also still recruiting members to be climate ambassadors – any member can get involved and the NFWI will be providing expert-led training on communicating climate change – find out more here.
