Monday Makes – 5-Minute Crafts

Like last week, we’ve got another crafty Facebook page to share with you. 5-Minute Crafts is a page that is dedicated to sharing quick, easy crafts and DIYs, with many being inspired by things that you may just have laying around the house. It’s the perfect page to explore if you’ve got a rainy afternoon to kill or children to entertain, so let’s take a further look at it!

sockSo, as we just mentioned, 5-Minute Crafts is great if you’ve got some odd bits in the house that you’d like to use and they show their crafts through videos. For example, if you’ve got a lonely sock, you can follow along to create these little friends, which are designed to help develop children’s fine motor skills. As the crafts are so simple and quick, their videos are not too long and are so easy to understand.

However, if videos aren’t your thing, they also share plenty of links filled with crafty projects so you can read the instructions and follow along at your own pace. We love this article they shared about knitting a scarf using a box! Not only do they share crafty articles from the web, but so much more, like tips and tricks, fashion pieces, gardening ideas… the list goes on! We absolutely love this article about food you can grow in your indoor garden and this one about beautiful colour combinations.

If you’re looking for something specific, this page features a search bar on the right hand side to help you out. As there are no clean cut sections on a Facebook page, you can’t expect to type in something like ‘sewing’ and for any posts to appear. However, because it is a craft based page, you have got a greater chance of finding something specific, so it’s definitely worth a try! It is a lot of fun to just scroll through all of the posts though, and read all of the articles and watch the videos.

5-Minute Crafts has a lot to offer, so why not check it out? They post quite frequently throughout the day, so you’ll never run out of things to look at.
