Monday Makes – Mollie Makes

Today, we’ve got a site to share that some of you may already be quite familiar with. Mollie Makes is a blog with a huge following, and it’s very easy to see why. The team behind the site are dedicated to posting helpful, beautiful and inspiring articles, and sometimes post multiple times a day! It caters to all crafts, with posts covering knitting, sewing, jewellery making, clay work and more. There is a lot to explore on the site, so let’s get right into it!

Free-biscuit-crochet-patternSo, when you open the homepage, you can look at the stream of posts without them being categorised. This is great if you’re just there to browse, but if you’re looking for a craft with instructions, you can hop on to the Tutorials page. Here, you can find tons of projects with added tutorials for follow-along crafting! Some even have videos to help you out even more. If you find a project you’d like to take a look at, just click the image or the title of the craft, and you’ll be taken to the instructions. We think these crochet dreamcatchers would look great in a child’s bedroom, and we love this fabric wallet (just think of all the beautiful patterns you could use)!

The next page is Crafts, and this is where the team share craft news, crafts from other people, editors picks and more. It’s a real feast for the eyes! This is a great page to explore if you’re looking for something to read instead of actually making something, because it’s extremely easy to just get caught up in all of the gorgeous photos and interesting articles. We love this article about slow Mollie-Makes-issue-65-Fabric-squares-and-project-bookcrafts that teach you patience and this one about helping to grow your child’s creativity.

The Templates tab goes hand-in-hand with the magazine that the team produce. In the Mollie Makes magazine, you’ll find the latest crafting trends, how-tos that are simple to follow, up and coming designers, and insider tips. It’s a definite must-read for all craft enthusiasts! The templates for the crafts shown in the magazine are provided on the Templates tab. They’re very easy to download, and can be printed too.

There is so much more to see on Mollie Makes, so we definitely recommend you take a look.If you’d like to see more from them, you can take a look at their Facebook and Twitter pages. They also have a gorgeous shop, filled with handmade goodies and patterns, so you know where to look if you want to treat yourself!
