On the last Sunday of every month, Stewart’s Parks in Middlesbrough hosts a farmer’s market that is always full to the brim with gorgeous smells, beautiful colours and tasty food. However, this Sunday (28th August), they will be hosting a special event that is great for all of the family.
If you pop along to the park between 9am and 2pm, you’ll find market stalls owned by most friendly, local people selling an array of delicious things. There’ll be gourmet scotch eggs from The Clucking Pig (we really recommend the chorizo one), cakes and brownies from Crumble & Slice, freshly baked bread from The Moody Baker, and so much more! Then, you are invited to find a picnic spot to enjoy your goodies. You can also enter a competition to win a hamper of food from the market. If you have little ones (or big ones), encourage them to bring along their favourite bear, making sure to arrive before 11 am. You’ll have to provide some contact details and the name of the bear, and you will be entered into a draw that will be announced at 11 am!
This sounds like it will be the perfect event to brighten up the end of the summer holidays, and it will be a great opportunity to discover some local producers.
