Seven lovely ladies (plus Kal the dog!) joined the May Strolling Sisters walk today, visiting the bluebell woods around Great Ayton. Setting off at 10.30am we headed out of the village towards Roseberry Topping and into Cliff Ridge Wood to see the bluebells which are in full bloom.
Pausing at the folly shooting hut to admire the view, we walked through the woods in the foothills of our famous landmark which were swathed in beautiful blue flowers. What a treat !! Lots of chat and laughs along the way, the time flew by and we were soon dropping down into the village just in time for lunch at the lovely No5 Coffee House. Not only that but we managed to dodge the rain !!
Our next Strolling Sisters walk will take place on Wednesday 21 June, meeting at Seaton Carew clock at 10.30am for a beach walk followed by fish and chips for lunch. Parking is no longer free at Seaton so please remember to bring along some small change for the meter.
