Project Linus is a national non-profit organisation that makes and provides quilts for children in hospitals, hospices and anywhere that child may be in need of a hug! If you’re a crafter and would like to put your quilting to good use, this is a great group to get involved with!
They meet on the last Friday of every month from 10am til 3pm at the Elmwood Community Centre, Hartburn, Stockton On Tees (just across the road from Hartburn School).
There is plenty of fabric that has been donated that you can use to make the quilts, and there are quilters on hand for any help or advice you may need. You’ll need to take your own sewing machine along and a sewing kit.
No project is too big or too small! The quilts you make will bring happiness to a child that needs it!
It costs £5 per session, which covers room hire and refreshments, Be sure to take along your own mug for a cuppa!
