Monday Makes – Cut Out And Keep

Last week was all about quilting, so for this post, we’ve decided to share a site that has something for everyone. If you’re interested in recipes, gardening, sewing, or even nail design, this is the site for you. This week is all about the wonderful Cut Out And Keep!

This is a friendly, community-based site, where anyone can sign up using their Facebook, Twitter or email address to share their projects. There are over 77,000 projects to choose from so you are bound to discover something that inspires you, or you can share your own ideas to inspire others.

As previously mentioned, this site holds a whole host of projects in a variety of different categories, so there really is something for everyone. Each category has its own sub-categories, so let’s say for example, you wanted to do a jewellery project. You would hover your mouse over the jewellery tab and then you are able to choose from brooches and pins, earrings, face and body, necklaces, rings or bracelets. Of course, if you find that the categories just don’t have what you’re looking for, you can always use the search bar at the top to find something more specific.

Something else that is particularly exciting about Cut Out And Keep is that they regularly run contests. Each month holds a different theme with a different prize, so if you’re into crafting and competitions, then we definitely recommend taking a little look.

If you’ve checked out Cut Out And Keep and like what you’re seeing, then you’ll be very pleased to know that the owners have also released a book! It’s a book of 50 craft projects based on the USA, one for each of the states. Like the site, it’s a real mixed bunch of ideas, from origami and DIY perfume, to soap and greetings cards. It was definitely written for all you ‘jack of all trades’ out there!

For more inspiration, you can find Cut Out And Keep on Twitter and Facebook!
